Innovative Wellness Clinic is a new Direct Primary Care clinic in Spring Valley offering a wide range of primary care services, testing services and preventive healthcare. The idea for the clinic came from founder Danielle Gordon, MS, FNP-C's, own personal health experiences.
“I've been a patient and I've been in a lot of situations where I felt my concerns weren't being addressed,” says Gordon. “Last year, I was hospitalized and found myself not being listened to by some of my colleagues. They weren't running tests I knew they should be doing. I finally understood what my patients were experiencing.”
Gordon has teamed up with Dr. Suzanne Afflalo to offer high-quality primary care for every patient. With this new model, “we are providing that personal touch with personal primary care,” says Gordon.

What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care allows all patients to receive high quality and affordable healthcare services, even if the patient does not have insurance. Innovative Wellness Clinic uses a membership model, with different rates for individuals and families.
Each patient pays a monthly fee to receive full access to:
- Unlimited patient visits
- Longer visits with providers
- After-hours visits
- Discounts on labs, diagnostic tests and supplements
“Most of our patients are used to going across the border to get care because they didn't have health insurance. It would take a whole day to drive down, go across and get the services they needed,” says Gordon. “Now they can do it all right here and this way they can pay for reduced labs and what they need.”
Preventative Care First
Innovative Wellness Clinic's model and mission is focused heavily on preventative care and the fundamentals of good nutrition, hydration and daily habits for optimal health. “Once we can address the basics, then we can get to work in resolving some of those ailments,” says Gordon. “For us, the name ‘wellness' means no disease.”
